Description: The Société d’histoire de Pointe-Saint-Charles is conducting two walking tours this September. The tour on September 9th entitled: des manufactures au quartier ouvrier. Learn about the manufacturers of the Pointe when it was the centre of economic activity in Montreal, and about the lives and actions of working class folk throughout Pointe-Saint-Charles history: the industrial revolution, the early 20th Century, de-industrialization of the neighbourhood, and today. The tour on September 23 will focus upon the architecture and history of Pointe St-Charles.

Starting Point: Carrefour d’éducation populaire, 2356 rue du Centre
Duration: 3 hours
Language: Tour will be conducted in French, but the guides can answer questions in English.
