For several summers folks from the Village des Tanneries have reclaimed the MTQ property next to and under the turcot expressway. They have turned this wasteland into a little paradise: wildflowers, pubic art, and comfy seating. Now this beautiful spot is threatened by the proposed expropriation of a section of Cazelais street and the rebuilding of the interchange. Below are some photos that capture the care and devotion that went into the garden in the summer of 2007. Hopefully next summer the garden will evolve into something even more beautiful. If you want to visit the garden, you can enter it between 4801 and 4809 Cazelais street. Map It!
