The Sud-Ouest Arrondissement will be distributing free flowers and other plants on May 23rd. The flowers and plants are distributed on a first-come first-served basis. Last year I was fortunate enough to pick up a shrub, which is thriving in my garden. In past years there has been free compost and top soil available too.

Attention all dog walkers and folk who walk and bike along the Canal! This weekend is the annual community based clean-up along the shore of the Lachine Canal. Put on your boots, bring gloves and garbage bags. There will be gloves for those who don’t have any!
