This blog is for anyone who is interested in the south west part of Montreal. The predominate focus is the Sud-Ouest arrondissement (St-Henri, Little Burgundy, Point St-Charles, Ville-Emard, Cote-St-Paul). On occasion there will be postings about about Verdun, Lasalle, Lachine, and beyond. I shall be posting info about art exhibits, helpful hints to living in our neighbourhoods, borough meetings and politics, community group info, history, and links to other places.
I welcome any ideas for this blog. If you have an event that you would like to post, that is possible too! If you want to contact me please leave a comment (all comments are moderated before appearing on the blog).
Note that this blog is independent of the Sud-Ouest arrondissement. For official information about the Sud-Ouest arrondissement (Sud-Ouest borough) go to : ville.montreal.qc.ca/sud-ouest.

Hello, What a wonderful blog site! I’ve learned so much about Montreal’s south-west, especially about the history and current events. I had no idea about the many sectors of the south west. Thanks for taking the time to keep up this info.

My sister and I have made a significant contribution to our neighborhood – we are both residents and we are the owners of Spa Savanna.
To help promote commerce in the area, we are actively involved in the setup of a merchant’s association for NDO.
Yes, a new generation of merchants (and some established ones as well) want the area to return to its former glory.
This blog will help knit the community together. Thank you. Liz
