As you may have read in a previous posting on this blog, the Pointe-St-Charles post office is scheduled to close in Spring 2008.
L’Action Gardien (an association of local community organizations in the Pointe) is planning a protest/manifestation as part of their efforts to save the post office. Rain or shine, soup will be provided.
Date: Wednesday October 24th.
Location: Corner of Grand Trunk and Richmond. Map.
L’Action Gardien is also encouraging citizens to do the following:
- Submit their complaints to Canada Post, telephone number : 1-800-267-1177.
- If you are not satisfied with Canada Post’s final response to your complaint and your file is closed, you may appeal to the Ombudsman of Canada Post. Contact 1-800-204-4198 or go to the Ombudsman’s website.
