Description: This version of Summertime in Paris is a tribute to the road and the detritus of the open highway. Monumental figures in the work of Eliza Griffith, David Humphrey and Janet Werner surround the hyper masculine beauty found in the work of New York based, Adam Parker Smith, who’s massive ‘Swing Your Father’s Sword’ stands sentinel in Gallery 1 alongside BGL’s burned out motorcycle, Clint Neufeld’s stunning and elegant porcelain engine and Ruele Dechene’s blinged out hubcaps. While Gallery 2 envisions a road tripper’s day dream of abstracted landscapes, forms in the clouds, and the totally unbelievable sightings that become our warm memories during the long cold winters. In the Bunker, we offer 2 destinations by Italian photographer Massimo Vitali, who’s ultra- wide lens both invites a viewer deeply in while being able to play voyeur at the same time. Consider Parisian Laundry as a destination this summer! Enjoy our ‘astro turf garden’ where BGL’s ‘Chez Pengouin’ is parked and ready for customers! … (Parisian Laundry Facebook Page)
